Selling BoulderSEO.com

A great domain goes up for sale on GoDaddy.

BoulderSEO.comI have put the BoulderSEO.com domain up for auction: with the upcoming release of the top-secret WordPress real estate plugin, I have chosen to sell this prime property.

The BoulderSEO.com auction will be ending in 18 hours, so if you’re into Colorado, Denver, Loveland, or Boulder SEO (you get the idea!), check out this auction.

You will instantly rank well with this great domain.

Currently priced at only $660 – it’s a great deal! With literally no work done on the site since April, 2009, I still get 1-2 leads/month from this site. This domain will pay for itself in a month.

Go to the auction.

A Great SEO Tool For Geo-Targeted Keyword Combinations

Save Time Creating SEO-Friendly Keyword Combinations

As an SEO, one of the things I do on a regular basis is come up with keyword permutations and combinations for many locations related to the corporations I am engaged with. What I often do is I use PHP scripting and create multiple arrays of keywords, locations, and services, then mix them up…similar to the SEO WordSpinner script.

There’s a great script that does this in an instant. It’s called the Local PPC Adwords & Keyword List Creator, and it does exactly what it sounds like it does.

Mountain America Jerky - Before and After Redesign

I’m happy to announce that today the new Mountain America Jerky website launched. Check out the site and try some of their crazy-good Garlic Black Pepper Beef Jerky. One perk of working with a nice client who sells beef jerky is getting samples of the product! Seriously, though, it’s the best jerky I’ve ever had.

I started working with Mountain America Jerky as a SEO. Jerky is a competitive field, and they wanted to improve their ranking. After working with Chuck on the website’s optimization, he told me he wanted to go big and rebrand the site. The result is a rustic, functional, beautiful website.

Why Google Profiles matter to you

Receive monthly tips like this one on how to get online exposure

As featured on the May 20th 7News program featuring Zack Katz of Katz Web Design, Google Profiles are a great way to be found online for your own name, even if you don’t have a website. If you set up an online profile with Google, a person looking for you online will be able to find you more easily.

Your profile will show up in search results

In the past, if you wanted to be listed in search results for your own name (it’s called a “vanity search”), you often needed your own website. Google is changing that, and giving users the power to show up in a search result with a picture and link to their profile.

Google Profile Embedded Results

The Google Profile box embedded in the search results for Zack Katz

In April, Google has started giving Profiles a prominent placement in search results. It is safe to presume that Google will be further incorporating the Profiles in the future, and assigning them more value. If you want to improve your findability online, setting up a profile is a great step to take.

SEODenver.com is new home of Denver Web Design & SEO Blog

Denver Web Design & SEO Blog has moved!

I’ve taken the plunge: the katzwebdesign.wordpress.com site is now mapped to seodenver.com, a domain I purchased last year. I’m not sure what the long-term plans are for this domain, but at least I’ll be building links to my own domain, not to WordPress.com…

Denver Roofing Company – Website Launched!

Mountain High Roofing, Inc. - Denver roofing intstallation & repair

Katz Web Design has completed a website for Mountain High Roofing, Inc., a Denver roofing company.

The Mountain High Roofing website is built on WordPress. It’s what I would consider to be a medium level of customization; the website is a custom website design with a few plugin customization options. It allows Mountain High to easily update their own content, and add articles to their blog. The code is well-structured for really good SEO results.
